A club-mate of international colleague Figueiredo at Varzim, Antonio Mendonca is a left-footed wingman with searing pace and good crossing ability.

Featuring in six of the Angolan qualifiers for this tournament, the 23-year-old proved himself a valuable member of the squad even though he didn't chip in with any goals which is unusual given his potency from distance.

He was also a regular in the recent African Nations Cup where his marauding runs up the left flank caused plenty of headaches for opposing full-backs.
