Croatia were top of their qualifying group, beating nearest rivals Sweden twice along the way.

Dario Srna is a pacy wing-back who plies his trade at Shakhtar Donetsk and he scored the winner in both of the crucial qualifying matches against Sweden.

Croatia's only creative outlet is the manager's son Niko Kranjcar, who is the only player in the team who still plays domestically in Croatia.

Rangers' powerful striker Dado Prso is the main goal threat, and he will be key to their success.

Croatia do not have a team that compares with the 1998 side which finished third, but they will be more than hopeful of qualifying from their group.
