The Czech Republic scored more goals than anyone else in qualifying and have been in impressive form over the last two years.

They were favourites to win Euro 2004 once the competition was under way but lost to shock winners Greece in the semi-finals.

There have been few changes since then and Pavel Nedved and Tomas Rosicky still drive the team forward from midfield.

Petr Cech has become one of the best 'keepers in the world and will be a huge obstacle to any opposition forwards.

Milan Baros will look to repeat his goalscoring exploits of Portugal 2004, and his partnership with the giant Jan Koller will trouble any defence.

The Czechs are a good bet to reach the latter stages, but winning the whole tournament might be a bit beyond them.

However with Nedved capable of winning any match with a moment of genius, they cannot be ruled out.
