Lyon youth-team product Ludovic Giuly can play on the right of midfield or as a 'wing forward', as he is usually used at Barcelona.

Giuly joined Monaco as a 20-year-old in January 1997 and achieved much in his time there, winning French championships and the League Cup.

He was captain of the side by his last season, in which they reached a Champions League final but lost to Porto.

Barcelona signed him in the summer of 2004 and he won the league title with them in his first season, scoring 11 goals.

Giuly uses his explosive pace to beat defenders and is a valuable creative outlet for both Barcelona and France.
