Position: Defender Urby Emanuelson is one of Holland's bright prospects, but he's unlikely to play a major role this summer. The youngster, who graduated from Ajax's youth scheme, only made his club debut in February 2005 against Auxerre in the UEFA Cup. But the pacy left-back, who can also operate as a winger, has become a key part of Danny Blind's side this season, featuring heavily in Ajax's run to the first knock-out stage of the Champions League. In fact Emaunelson's form has been so impressive that the Dutch giants decided to reward him with a new contract which will keep him at the Amsterdam ArenA until 2011. He has played for his country under Marco van Basten, who believes he's sure to make a huge impact in years to come, and will treat this summer as a chance to get some valuable tournament experience.
