Dirk Kuyt has long been linked with the Premiership's top clubs and when you look at the powerful striker's scoring exploits in Holland it's easy to see why.

Born in Katwijk, Kuyt started out his professional career at FC Utrecht in the 1998/99 season and joined Feyenoord in the summer of 2003 just months after making the first of his international appearances.

He has scored goals consistently since joining the Rotterdammers, and the 6ft marksman was top scorer in the Eredivisie in 2005.

That has seen him linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City and it would be a surprise to see him still in Feyenoord's colours next season.

An aerial threat and a clinical finisher - witness his 100-plus Eredivisie goals - Kuyt will be looking to put himself in the shop window at the World Cup.
