Already past the 50-cap mark and into the top 20 most-capped Iranians of all time despite still being in his mid-20s, Alireza Vahedi has already caught the eye of clubs across Europe.

Having made his international debut against Guam in 2000, Vahedi has impressed with his energetic performances and played a key role in the qualifying campaign, with nine appearances and two goals.

A pacy wideman who is able to cut in and fire home from distance, Vahedi can be a touch hot-headed and isn't shy of showing his anger if he is on the receiving end of some harsh treatment from opponents.

Currently playing for Esteghlal Tehran in his homeland, the midfield man has had trials with Atletico Madrid, Celta Vigo and Rayo Vallecano among others and a good World Cup could earn him a dream move to Europe.
