Morales - a threat down the left.
11 Ramon Morales

Position: Midfielder
Born: 10.10.75
Club: Guadalajara

Although no longer his prime, Ramon Morales still possesses the talent to cause Mexico's opponents all sorts of problems in Germany.

Morales provides his country with a telling threat down the left wing, whipping in deadly crosses for the likes of Jared Borgetti to fire home while with his pace and skill, he can also cut inside and unleash a fearsome shot from range.

The 30-year-old started his club career with Monterrey in 1995 where he spent four seasons before joining his current employers Guadalajara.

After impressing in the 2002 World Cup in Jaoprea, Morales' form soon dipped and he was subsequently dropped from the national side for almost two years.

But he fought back well after impressing for his club in the 2005 Copa Libertadores and played four games in the Confederations Cup in Germany last summer as Mexico reached the semi-finals.

Something of a free-kick specialist, one of Morales' greatest moments in international football came when he scored a wonderful free-kick in Mexico's victory over Argentina in the 2004 Copa America.
