Position: Midfielder Jaime Lozano will be a deadly threat for Mexico this summer due to his exceptional scoring touch, skilful feet and aerial prowess. He made his debut against South Africa in 2000 and now has over 20 caps to his name with a goal ratio of almost one every two games. His form was devastating in the World Cup qualifiers, scoring an incredible 11 times including two in the crucial victory over Costa Rica. That impressive tally was bettered by only two men in his country's zone - Trinidad and Tobago's Stern John and fellow Mexican Jared Borgetti. At club level the 26-year-old made his debut for Pumas in 1998 and has remained virtually a one-club man, despite a brief spell at Celaya, breaking through the ranks to become one of their most prized assets. Last season he won the domestic double with Pumas and if his scoring touch continues at the World Cup many of Europe's top teams could seek his signature.
