With an international career stretching back 13 years, Jacek Bak brings plenty of experience to the Poland squad; indeed he captained them in several of their qualifiers.

Since making his debut against Cyprus in February 1993, Bak has won over 65 caps and has long been regarded as one of the most important players in the set-up.

Tall and primarily a centre-back, he has enough quality to be able to fill a defensive midfield role as well as having the versatility to play along the back-line.

Currently playing his club football for Al-Rayyan in the Qatari league, Bak numbers Lech Poznan and French Ligue 1 sides Lyon and Lens among his former clubs.
