![]() 8 Jacek Krzynowek
Position: Midfielder Jacek Krzynowek is one of the few members of the Poland squad with happy memories of the 2002 World Cup, from which they made an early exit. Despite having won 23 caps at the time, the left-winger was seen as an understudy to Marek Kozminski but a man-of-the-match display in the victory against the USA meant he won plenty of admiring glances. With over 50 caps to his name since making his debut in 1998, the reliable Krzynowek has plenty of Bundesliga experience with Nurnberg and Bayer Leverkusen, and is expected to join Wolfsburg once this tournament finishes. Good on the ball and blessed with excellent vision, the 30-year-old is also not shy of the less glamorous aspects of the game, shuttling forward and back down the left flank with seemingly endless stamina and boundless enthusiasm.
