Figo - final international tournament.
7 Luis Figo

Position: Midfielder
Born: 04.11.72
Club: Internazionale

Portugal's most famous player, Luis Figo is set for one last assault on the World Cup before retiring from international football.

He was part of Portugal's 'Golden Generation' who won World Under-16 and Under-20 titles in 1989 and 1990 and the lack of a major international title is the only thing missing from Figo's trophy cabinet.

He came close when Portugal lost out to Greece in the final of Euro 2004, prompting Figo to take a break from international football before returning to the side for the World Cup qualifiers with Slovakia and Estonia.

At club level, Figo has won the lot, with four La Liga titles in Spain, along with a Cup Winners' Cup triumph at Barcelona and a Champions League win with Real Madrid and on a personal level, he was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2001.

But if Portugal's most-capped player is to add an international title to that impressive collection, it will have to be this summer in Germany.
