Vastly experienced, Lee will take part in his third World Cup finals this summer and has been a part of the national squad since the 1992 Olympic Games.

The Suwon Samsung custodian was an ever-present in qualifying and can expect to start the tournament as first choice despite pressure from Cho Jun-Ho, 10 years his junior.

That will be just reward for consistently impressive displays for South Korea, particularly during the 2002 finals when he was was a key performer as they finished fourth.
