Position: Goalkeeper During Real Madrid's extravagant search for new Galacticos, one thing has remained constant - the man between the sticks, Iker Casillas. Since Casillas' debut in 1999, Madrid's fortunes have soared to Champions League glory and dipped to a two-year spell devoid of success. During it all their goalkeeper has been consistently brilliant. By the age of 21, Casillas had won two Champions League medals with his athleticism and exceptional shot-stopping also establishing him as Spain's No1. He also has two La Liga titles, two Spanish Supercups and one UEFA Supercup to his name and Casillas will still be just 25 when the World Cup starts. A hometown boy, Casillas has played for Madrid for his entire career and go down in legend as one of the club's finest ever goalkeepers. Casillas, increasingly confident at bossing his box, boasted seven clean sheets on the road to Germany, playing in every minute of Spain's World Cup qualifying campaign. Barring injury Casillas is guaranteed to start in Germany and looks likely to eventually overhaul Andoni Zubizarreta's record haul of 126 caps for Spain.
