Since Casillas' debut in 1999, Madrid's fortunes have soared to Champions League glory and dipped to a two-year spell devoid of success.

Barring injury Casillas is guaranteed to start in Germany and looks likely to eventually overhaul Andoni Zubizarreta's record haul of 126 caps for Spain.
