6 Tobias Linderoth

Position: Midfielder
Born: 21.04.79
Club: FC Copenhagen

Tobias Linderoth is a no-frills, hard-working defensive midfielder who is also capable of playing on the right flank.

His father Anders was Swedish Footballer of the Year in 1976 and played a big part in his son's professional career, taking him to Stabaek from Elfsborg.

Linderoth jnr was a fixture in the Sweden side by the time Walter Smith paid £2.5 million to take him to Everton in January 2001 but despite never really establishing himself in at Goodison, he remained an important player for his country and he was brilliant in the 1-1 draw with England at World Cup 2002.

He returned to Scandinavia with FC Copenhagen in 2004 for £1.5 million in search of regular first-team football and has become a key member of the Danes' first-team squad.
