Larsson - lethal finisher.
11 Henrik Larsson

Position: Forward
Born: 20.09.71
Club: Barcelona

Henrik Larsson has retired from international football once already but was convinced to return by his young son, much to the relief of the Swedish fans.

Larsson, who won the award as the 'Greatest Swedish Player of the last 50 years', began his career at Hogaborg in the Swedish third division but was soon signed up by Helsingborg, his hometown club, and had made the national team by 1993.

He scored on his debut, a Euro 2004 qualifier against Finland, and joined Feyenoord not long afterwards. He struggled at first but his lethal eye for goal was evident before too long, and he was snapped up by Celtic in 1997.

The £650,000 they spent proved to be a bargain as Larsson would go on to score 242 goals in 315 appearances, winning the European Golden Shoe in the process. He also scored twice in the UEFA Cup final defeat to Porto.

This will be Larsson's last major international tournament, and he will want to go out on a high with his partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic likely to be one of the most potent at the World Cup.
