This is Togo's first World Cup appearance and they were surprise qualifiers from a group containing Senegal and Mali.

They have one outstanding player in Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor who recently joined Arsenal. He was top scorer in the African zone in qualifying, weighing in with 11 goals.

He is very tall but has pace to burn and quick feet. Should Togo cause an upset, he will probably be at the heart of it.

Goalkeeper Kossi Agassa is nicknamed 'Magic Hands' for his brilliant performances in qualifying, and he will be kept busy in Germany.

Togo have little chance of progressing from the group stage, but they will look at Switzerland and South Korea as beatable, and with a good goalscorer in the team an upset cannot be ruled out.
