As understudy to Kossi Agassa, Ouro Tchagnirou will have to rely on injuries and suspensions to appear between the sticks at the World Cup.

Tchagnirou only played one qualifying game and that was Togo's first against Zambia before he made way for Agassa for the rest of the campaign.

However he did feature in the African Nations Cup match against Angola and made some excellent saves. He would be a competent replacement if needed but with a lack of exposure at this level, little would be expected of him.
