Kenwyne Jones joined Southampton in summer 2004 as a raw exciting talent, but one who seemed unsure of his best position.

He had been used all over the pitch before a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday and with Paul Sturrock fielding him there as a striker he responded with seven goals in seven games.

Another successful loan spell at Stoke followed, and he is now an established member of the Saints squad.

An athletic and pacy player, his versatility could be crucial for the Soca Warriors this summer.
